Background

Hyca is a New Haven-based clean tech startup on a mission to make EV charging, peak energy shaving, and power resilience accessible to every home whether rented or owned, single- or multi-family. They needed a brand that could communicate that vision clearly and earn trust with both property owners and environmentally conscious consumers.

What I Did

I developed the full visual identity for Hyca, building a brand that balanced the optimism of clean energy with the credibility of a serious technology company. The logo, color system, and overall aesthetic needed to feel modern and approachable signaling that clean tech isn't just for homeowners with deep pockets, but for everyone.

Why It Worked

Hyca's core message that integrated clean tech belongs in every home is an inclusive and ambitious one. The brand had to reflect that without feeling either corporate or niche. A clean, forward-looking identity gave Hyca the visual foundation to communicate that ambition credibly, whether they were talking to a property developer, a renter, or an investor. In a crowded clean energy market, looking the part is the first step to being taken seriously.
